Buenos Aires – Retiro: Park Tower / Sheraton Buenos Aires Hotel & Convention Center

The Park Tower, the luxury wing of the Sheraton Buenos Aires Hotel & Convention Center, located at Avenida Leandro N. Alem 1193, opened to the public in 1996. The 23-floor, 91-meter tall, hotel boasts 181 guest rooms, all with Italian marble bathrooms, and a Lobby Lounge with an original 17th century French tapestry depicting Alexander the Great paying homage to the mother of Dareios, the king of Persia.
Sheraton Buenos Aires Hotel & Convention Center, originally Hostal Santa María de los Buenos Aires, originally opened on June 26, 1969. Designed by SEPRA architects Santiago Sánchez Elía, Federico Peralta Ramos, and Alfredo Agostini, it was one of the first Argentine hotels built in the International Style. After the 1996 expansion which also doubled the convention capacity, the combined facilities became the single largest hotel complex in Latin America.
