Arlington House, opened 1905, was designed by Harry Bell Measures (1862–1940) for Montagu Corry, 1st Baron Rowton (1838–1903). Arlington House was the last (and largest) of six ‘Rowton Houses’, lodgings for working men, with private cubicles to sleep in, as well as bathrooms (a significant attraction at the time).
The lodgings were taken over by Camden Borough Council in the 80s, before being privatised and run by One Housing Group. It continues to provide accommodation for the homeless.
Brendan Behan lived here for a while.

Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel Bathroom

The newest Fairmont in Vancouver, the Fairmont Pacific Rim, is truly one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Everything is so well thought out, so perfectly designed, and just overall so… great. This must be why it is a favourite with the celebrities! Tom Cruise stayed here during filming of the new Mission Impossible movie, and Jon Bon Jovi is *currently* staying here as his tour makes a stop in Vancouver. We are staying on a Fairmont "Gold" floor which provides complimentary wireless internet access, and access to the lounge where snacks, drinks, and hors-d’oeuvre are served all day.
